Perfecture.fr Terms of Service

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version is the sole legally binding version and governs the relationship between you and Perfecture.fr.

1. Purpose

These terms of service (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the perfecture.fr website and its services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms without reservation.

2. Description of the Service

Perfecture.fr automatically monitors the availability of appointment slots published on the official websites of French prefectures and sub-prefectures, for the processes covered by its catalogue. When a slot matching your monitoring is detected, an alert is sent to you by email (and, where the option is available, by SMS) with the direct link to the official website.

Perfecture.fr does not book any appointment on your behalf. Booking is done exclusively by you, on the official website of the relevant administration.

3. Independence from the administration

Perfecture.fr is a private, independent service. It is not affiliated with, approved by, or endorsed by the French State, the Ministry of the Interior, or any prefecture. The information relayed comes from publicly accessible pages on official websites.

4. Account and accuracy of information

Using the Service requires creating an account with a valid email address. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out from your account.

5. Offer, pricing and payment

The monitoring Service is sold as one-off purchases, with no subscription and no automatic renewal. You choose a monitoring duration and pay for it once:

  • €4.90 for 7 days of monitoring;
  • €9.90 for 30 days of monitoring;
  • €24.90 for 90 days of monitoring.

Prices are stated in euros, all taxes included. The prices displayed on the site at the time of your order prevail; a price change has no effect on orders already paid for. At the end of the chosen period, monitoring stops automatically: no additional amount is charged and no renewal occurs without a new order from you.

Payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), acting as reseller and Merchant of Record for all orders placed on perfecture.fr. Paddle issues your invoice, collects applicable VAT and handles secure payment processing. Perfecture.fr never receives or stores your card details. Paddle's terms apply to the payment transaction, in addition to these Terms.

During the beta period, access to the Service may be offered free of charge (€0.00) or as a complimentary period, subject to available spots. Free or complimentary periods have no monetary value and do not give rise to any refund.

Civic exam preparation (practice quiz) is provided free of charge and involves no payment.

6. Duration, stopping monitoring and no renewal

Each order activates monitoring for the chosen duration (7, 30 or 90 days), starting from its activation. This is not a subscription: monitoring ends by itself at the end of the period, with no tacit renewal and no further charge.

You may stop a monitoring at any time from your account. Stopping it ends the related alerts but does not, in itself, give rise to a refund of the remaining monitoring time, subject to the right of withdrawal described in section 7.

We reserve the right to suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, in particular in the event of abusive, fraudulent or automated use of the Service.

7. Withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer, you have a period of fourteen (14) days from your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason, in accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.

As monitoring is digital content whose performance begins as soon as it is activated, at the time of payment you are asked to expressly request this immediate start and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). Accordingly:

  • as long as a paid monitoring has not been activated, you may withdraw within 14 days and be refunded in full;
  • if the monitoring has been activated and you withdraw within the 14-day period, we refund the price paid, less an amount proportionate to the days of monitoring already provided as at the date of your request (Article L221-25 of the French Consumer Code);
  • once the monitoring period has fully elapsed, the Service has been fully performed and the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised.

Beyond the right of withdrawal, we apply a voluntary refund policy: if the Service did not work due to a technical failure attributable to us (for example a prolonged interruption of monitoring or a failure to send alerts), we refund all or part of your order, pro rata to the affected period. However, the absence of any slot published by the administration during your monitoring period does not give rise to a refund: the Service worked as described, as the publication of slots does not depend on Perfecture.fr.

Free or complimentary periods (beta access, complimentary days) do not give rise to any refund.

For any request, email contact@perfecture.fr or use the contact page, stating the email address used for your order and the payment reference shown in your confirmation email. Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. The full policy is set out on the Refunds page.

8. Availability and limits of the Service

Slot detection depends entirely on administrations publishing availability: Perfecture.fr does not guarantee that slots will appear, that an appointment will be obtained, or any specific detection delay. The Service is provided "as is"; we do everything we can to ensure its continuity, without being able to guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. User obligations

You agree to use the Service in accordance with the law and not to: resell alerts or access to the Service, attempt to disrupt its operation, or use it for automated or bulk appointment booking purposes.

10. Liability

Perfecture.fr cannot be held liable for the administration's decisions or processing times, the unavailability of official websites, or the inability to obtain an appointment. In any event, Perfecture.fr's liability is limited to the amounts actually paid for the Service over the preceding twelve months.

11. Personal data

The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, in particular when the beta period ends. The applicable version is the one published on this page; in the event of a material change, you will be informed by email or via the Service.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any more protective mandatory provisions applicable in your country of residence if you are a consumer. Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (distance selling and right of withdrawal) apply. In the event of an unresolved dispute, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator under the conditions set out in the French Consumer Code.
